a word of encouragement
we are all sinners. we have all fallen short of the glory of God – in fact we fall short every day. but thanks be to God that this does not separate us from Him. God sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. for me. for everyone – there is not one person that walks this earth that is outside the reach of God’s loving mercy, of His forgiveness. and in Jesus’ crucifixion He took on the sin of the world, and defeated death. so that you and i, for everyone who believes in Jesus’ name will have everlasting life.
your sins are paid for. stop suffering over what was and rejoice that you serve a God who delivered you from that! we are called to be blameless, and that is how God views us. our sin does not cast a shadow of blame on us. who is there to point the blame at you? for the one who you offended has already absolved the offense!
this is what gives us freedom in Christ friends! He has lifted the blame, He paid for what you haven’t even done yet. i’m not saying that you should live in sin and take advantage of God’s mercy, but the fact is when you turn your life around there is no blame game being played by God. He is knelt down, arms wide open, ready to receive you.
you cannot earn what has already been freely given.
you know you are not sinlessly perfect. i know i am not sinlessly perfect, i’m far far from it. but isn’t it beautiful that the creator of the universe, the one who put the stars in the sky, created the galaxy and everything in it, unashamedly sees us as blameless? because we are completely justified in Christ.
you are justified. accept the free gift of salvation that Jesus is eagerly waiting for you to grab on to because Heaven will be better with you in it.
