the greatest love story

we are living in the greatest love story known to man. because like all love stories there is a sacrifice, but there is none greater than this - John 3:16 ‘for God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.' this is our love story. that Jesus, being fully God, became fully man to die on the cross for you and i's sins so that we would no longer be separated by sin from God.

that we would get to have our happily ever after with God as He intended it to be at the dawn of creation.

when Jesus was crucified the veil was torn leading into the room of the Holy of Holies. this room was said to be the earthly dwelling place of God's presence and the high priest could only enter the room once a year. but, when Jesus had torn the veil it was signifying that sin no longer hinders man before God. that man no longer needs to have a separate piece of the temple from God's dwelling place because Jesus' blood has given us access to come before our Heavenly Father with boldness and confidence. how about that for love! how about that for an ultimate sacrifice! and that's not even the end of it. after the crucifixion and they buried Jesus' body He ascended to Heaven and in doing so has placed the Holy Spirit in us. Romans 8:11 'but if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you'. Jesus paid this sacrifice not only to answer for our sins, not only to tear the veil, but also to be able to give himself to everyone. so that He would never have to leave us.

and there is no greater love than this, that one would lay down His life for those that He loves. Jesus loves you and is constantly pursuing you. He gave his life so that we could have a relationship with Him, our Heavenly Father. and that is why this is the greatest love story.
